Our Deacons
What is a Deacon?
Deacons serve the Lord by conducting the caring ministry of the church-doing the benevolence work, being alert to the spiritual needs of the congregation and surrounding community, promoting unity within the church, and facilitating the spread of the gospel.
"So the Twelve called a meeting of the disciples. They said, "It wouldn't be right for us to abandon our responsibilities for reaching and teaching the Word of God to help with the care of the poor. So, friends, choose seven men from among you whom everyone trusts, men full of the Holy Spirit and good sense, and we'll assign them this task. Meanwhile, we'll stick to our assigned tasks of prayer and speaking God's Word." – Acts 6:2-4
The deacons at Eastern Hills manage the benevolence fund. We depend solely on the congregation for donations to this fund. We use the donations to first help the members and regular attendees of the church who are in need, and secondly to the community around our church. Third, we strive to help anyone in the Denver area as funds allow.

What Can I Do?
The Deacons at Eastern Hills Community Church depend on financial donations from the congregation. Please mark your donation to the "Benevolence Fund" . Your generous donation will be used to help the needs of your fellow church and community members who are in need.
"Our Scriptures tell us that if you see your enemy hungry, go buy that person lunch, or if he's thirsty, get him a drink. Your generosity will surprise him with goodness. Don't let evil get the best of you; get the best of evil by doing good." Romans 12:20-21
