Welcome

We are glad you decided to check out the things we have in store for kids at Eastern Hills Community Church.

Every weekend during worship services, we have Baby TREK for infants and toddlers and TREK for your 2yr olds- 5th grade.  On Wednesday nights from 6:45-8:15p.m. is our BLAST ministry for 1st-5th graders from Jan 11-March 21 (No BLAST on Feb. 22).  If you would like to register your kids please fill out our online registration form.  We look forward to seeing you this weekend!

Passages

Passages is a class for 4th & 5th grade students.

 If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord and would like to make a public commitment to live your life for him, then Passages is for you!  Join us as we share our faith journeys, talk about what we believe and why,  and learn more about how to grow in our faith.  

Parent meeting on January 8 @ 9:00 a.m. in Children’s Library 

This class is a 6 week class from Jan. 15-Feb. 19 @ 11:00

TREK

To Reach Every Kid (TREK) is our Children's Church program for Kids from preschool age to 5th grade.

During Kids weekend worship, our desire is that kids have fun and that they take their next steps toward Jesus.  We take the responsibility of partnering with parents in their children's faith development very seriously.  Creativity, fun, and relevant are the values that when implemented in a loving and safe environment challenge our kids to grow closer to Jesus.  TREK is offered at the 6 p.m. Saturday Evening service and at 9:00 and 11 a.m. on Sunday mornings.Our programming includes:

  • an engaging large group worship experience
  • creative, relevant teaching of God's Word
  • interactive learning that encourages life application

safe environments staffed with RISK approved leaders

Baby TREK

In the Baby TREK Ministry, it is our goal to ensure little ones have a happy experience by providing a loving, safe and secure environment. Our nursery is offered for children from newborns to under 3 years of age during all worship services.

RISK Program

We are always looking for volunteers but the safety of our children and young people is of the utmost importance to us. Therefore any person who works with our children or youth, from birth to 12th grade, is required to go through our RISK program. The RISK program is overseen by Debby Tepielow and contains the following key parts: Background check, 3 references (cannot be a family member), watch our "reducing the risk" video, and an interview with the ministry head where you intend to volunteer. Our risk video is shown on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:45 p.m. and the 4th Saturday of the month at 4:30 p.m. The forms required for the background checks can be obtained from the ministry head and need to be returned to them or to Debby Tepielow.
