Blurry Vision
How do we define "vision"? In his book, The Danger of Raising Nice Kids, Timothy Smith describes vision as seeing life from God's point of view. "It will give you perseverance when you need it. Vision gives you perspective. It will help you spend your time and energy on the right things."
A 2005 nationwide survey by the Barna Group offers some insight into what parents want to see in their children (vision). A good education, feeling loved and being happy were top priorities. More than twice as many parents surveyed were more concerned with making their kids happy than seeing their kids develop strong moral character. Could we be putting too much emphasis on things that won't matter in God's BIG picture?
The foundation for vision is who we are in Christ. In TREK, we have great opportunity to partner with parents to cast clear vision. Let's pray that God gives us 20/20 as we communicate His truths to our kids!

Children's Ministry
We believe our purpose is to partner with parents in nurturing their child's faith journey.
We offer relevant, relational and fun programming that is intentional about helping kids apply biblical truths in their lives.
The quality of our ministry and safety of our children is important to us. Children's Church is offered at the 6 p.m. Saturday Evening service and at 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
Our programming includes:
- an engaging large group worship experience
- creative, relevant teaching of God's Word
- interactive learning that encourages life application
- safe environments staffed with RISK approved leaders
TREK
To Reach Every Kid (TREK) is our Children's Church program for Kids from preschool age to 3rd grade.
Baby TREK
In the Baby TREK Ministry, it is our goal to ensure little ones have a happy experience by providing a loving, safe and secure environment. Our nursery is offered for children from newborns to under 3 years of age during all worship services.

RISK Program
We are always looking for volunteers but the safety of our children and young people is of the utmost importance to us. Therefore any person who works with our children or youth, from birth to 12th grade, is required to go through our RISK program. The RISK program is overseen by Debby Tepielow and contains the following key parts: Background check, 3 references (cannot be a family member), watch our "reducing the risk" video, and an interview with the ministry head where you intend to volunteer. Our risk video is shown on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:45 p.m. and the 4th Saturday of the month at 4:30 p.m. The forms required for the background checks can be obtained from the ministry head and need to be returned to them or to Debby Tepielow. For further information, contact Debby Tepielow at dtepielow@ehills.org .
