Nursery Volunteer Guidelines

As the Nursery Ministry of Eastern Hills Community Church it is our goal to ensure little ones have a happy experience by providing a loving, safe and secure environment. Our nursery is offered for children from Newborn to under 3 years of age during all worship services. We have three levels of classrooms which have two adult attendants at all times, plus additional helpers as needed.

Infant Room

This classroom is for our little ones who are Newborn to 1 year of age. We provide a loving environment with age appropriate equipment (swings, bouncy seats, excersaucers, etc) for these little ones as they are just beginning to learn.

Toddler Room

This classroom is for our little ones who are 1yr to 2 yrs of age. We provide a fun filled environment with a realm of toys - educational as well as "fun".

Little Joeys Room

This classroom is for our little ones who are 2 yrs to under 3 yrs of age. This class helps prepare the children for Children's Church. In the class we have a Bible story and craft for the children along with age appropriate toys to play with.

RISK

All volunteers in the nursery ministries are required to go through our RISK program, and attend Eastern Hills for at least 6 months. This is determined by the signing of the Friendship Pads in the main sanctuary each week for 6 months. This is a child abuse awareness and prevention program. Volunteers are also required to have two references and a criminal background check. Contact Trudy Kuzava at tkuzava@ehills.org for additional information about this program.
